Many programs like Nero Burning ROM or Roxio are good at burning to CDs and DVDs, but they have a lot of clunky features which sometimes even crash the program while it's burning, thus creating a new shiny coaster. AmoK CD/DVD Burning is a free alternative to more feature-rich programs.
This application supports many types of media on optical discs, such as CD and DVDs.. but not Blu-ray. It works in two steps to record all the files you'd like to burn to the disc. It works great as a drag-and-drop interface from the Windows Explorer file manager.
In addition to the standard audio CD and video DVD support, AmoK CD/DVD Burning can also perform other tasks with the help of downloadable plugins.
AmoK comes with the basic tools you'll need to create backups, audio CDs and a little bit more. Fast and lightweight.
